10 Fitness Tips in 10 Days – Tip 5 – Lose 20 pounds in a week

You may have heard me harp on this one before and if so, you should know by now it’s a passionate subject of mine.  Back before my blog evolved into a racing blog and it was more fitness oriented, at least 3 or 4 times a week I’d get visited by someone looking for “How to lose 40 pounds in 30 days.”  No kidding.  Even over the past couple of days, I’ve seen several referrals to my blog from Google with someone searching for “How to lose 20 pounds in one week”.



There are no shortcuts or miracles.

…at least not in a healthy way.  Folks, there are no miracle diet pills, no magic machines, gadgets, new fangled fad diet or or other shortcuts.  If you want to lose the weight permanently, you have to make permanent lifestyle changes.

The only way to lose a lot of weight that fast is:

a. surgery
b. dehydration
c. saw off your leg at the hip

10 Fitness Tips in 10 Days – Tip 4 – Fat, Naughty vs. Nice

If you don’t know by now, there is such a thing as good and bad fats.  Good fats (unsaturated) include items such as fish, nuts, olive oil, etc.  Bad ones (saturated) can be found any many foods, especially fried ones (yes, even that deep fried Twinkie).

Tip 2 – Snack Attack – 10 Fitness Tips in 10 Days

Here’s tip number 2 for the 10 Weight loss Fitness Tips in 10 days.  Yep.  I changed it after kicking it off.  I got to thinking last night and the tips are more than just weight loss.  You could lose a bunch of weight but still be unfit.  Sooooo, for those of you that don’t know me, we’re changing directions a little.  For those of you that do, it should be no surprise.  Don’t worry.  If dropping a few pounds is your goal, the tips will still help towards that.  Just keep reading and you’ll see.

With that said, as you know, starvation won’t get you in shape.  So don’t believe the hype of restricting food and eating as little rabbit food as possible.  It is NOT the way to get yourself fit.  You must ensure your body has the necessary calories and nutrition it needs to get to tip-top shape.
